Teams (auto-balanced)
β Free for organisers. Forever.
The reality
Every week, it's the same storyβ¦
"Who's actually in?"
"Can someone send the teams?"
"Wait, has everyone paid?"
"Who's got change for Β£6?"
47 messages later and you've still got:
- Γ uneven teams
- Γ late dropouts
- Γ someone still owed Β£6 since last summer
- Γ and one lad quietly stacking his own side
You still play.
But it's chaos.
The fix
Megs runs your
game for you.
No chasing.
No spreadsheets.
No arguments.
Just turn up and play.
Free for organisers. Forever.
No subscription. No trial. Players only pay a small per-match fee when you choose to collect payments through Megs.
How it works
From group chat to first whistle in four steps.
01
Set it up
Create a recurring game in seconds - time, pitch, players. And automate it, if you want.
02
Share it
Send a link. Players join and pay to play via Apple Pay or Google Pay (or cash, if you must).
03
Teams sorted
Megs balances the sides automatically, based on player ability (that updates with each game) and how much they affect a game.
Game
on.
04
Play & track
Log the score. Ratings update. Stats build over time.
How balancing works
Teams that get fairer every week (and nobody moans about).
Every player has a skill rating. Megs also tracks who's a goal threat and who actually tracks back. When you set up your next game, the algorithm runs thousands of combinations to balance skill, attack and defence across both sides.
Ratings update from every result, so the longer your group plays, the sharper the balancing gets. Megs even spreads the same players around week to week, so nobody ends up on the same side every game.
No captain politics. No bias. No one quietly stacking their own team. Just teams nobody picks a fight with.
What Megs handles
Everything organising a game involves. None of the admin.
Teams
Balanced every week. No bias, no debates.
Who's playing
See who's in, who's out and who's on the bench. No more group-chat roll call.
Payments
Apple Pay, Google Pay or card. Paid before they play - no IOUs, no bank transfers, no 'who's got change?'
Stats
Win streaks, MOTM, head-to-heads, season titles - the receipts your group chat has been crying out for.
Why people use Megs
Because organising the game is the worst part.
Megs fixes that.
- β No more chasing replies
- β No more picking teams
- β No more awkward reshuffles
- β No more "has everyone paid?"
Just better games.

From the founder
Hi, I'm Eddie. I've been organising the same weekly kickabout for years - and I built Megs because I couldn't take another "who's in?" message in the group chat. The pain's the same whether your game's been running 6 months or 16 years: chasing replies, picking teams, hounding people for fivers. Megs handles all of it. Just turn up and play.
